70. Red

Scarf: Gap $21, Sweater: F21 $12, Pants: Gap $30, Boots: Payless - gifted

This has been my go-to outfit this Fall, I think my necklaces are starting to get jealous because they have been so neglected by my new found obsession with scarfs! Anyways, Red. Red is a power color and it definitely turns heads. A LBD is amazing but you swap that our for a Little Red Dress... watch out world. I think wearing Red gives you a little boost and it is especially fun this time of year because of the holidays. The best part is anyone can wear red, I promise! I look best in a bright red but you might find you look good in a deeper, cooler red. You have to experiment to figure out which shade looks best on you but I assure you that it is out there somewhere! Go and get red in wardrobe! It's a great time to shop for it, all the stores are carrying something red right now. Good luck!

46. Knitted Scarf

Scarf: Zara $35, Sweater: Gap $20, Jacket: Diesel $5, Jeans: AEO $40
Shoes: Payless - gifted

You guys I think I might be addicted to knitted scarfs. We went home for four days and I packed four scarfs. They are so warm and comfy and I just can't get enough. The best part is they are being sold everywhere this fall. You can buy beautifully handmade scarfs online on etsy or you can get a cute, cheap one at Old Navy. Where ever you choose to get yours I guarantee you won't be sorry.

43. Jeans

Sweater: Gap $8 + GC, Scarf: Gap $1 + GC, Bracelet: GroopDealz $4
Jeans: AEO $40, Boots: Payless - gifted. Watch: AEO $35

What 100 list would be complete without the basic Jeans. Everyone NEEDS a pair of jeans that fit them like a second skin, that sounds gross but it's true! Your perfect pair of jeans could be waiting for you anywhere! I have found mine continually at American Eagle for the last 7 years, they fit perfect, they are comfortable and I love them! Now, that doesn't mean AEO is going to fit all of you perfectly. You might find yours at Old Navy, Gap, heck you might find them at Macy's. Perfect Jeans can be found at any price point and if you find your perfect pair for $100 no judgement here. Just like the perfect man, it takes some searching so when you find that perfect pair of jeans don't let them go!

41. Hobo Bag

Scarf: Old Navy $4, Sweater: Old Navy $5, Jeans: AEO $40,
Purse: Aldo $25, Shoes: Payless $7, Watch: Aldo $35

I don't know if you can tell but I was so cold when we took these pictures! Winter is not my favorite season although I am loving wearing all my cozy scarves, boots, sweaters and coats, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Okay, the Hobo Bag is basically an unstructured purse; very casual. I love the color of this bag and for some reason I always seem to gravitate towards it in the winter. Perhaps I am in need of some fresh, fun, pops of color when it is white and brown outside. Thankfully, the last few years it has been on trend to wear brights through the winter. Lucky me!

36. Flared Jeans

Jacket: Mine via TJ Maxx $30, Top: Gap $8, Jeans: AEO $40
Scarf: Gap $1 + gift card, Clutch: H&M $12, Shoes: Aldo $18

I remember in middle school when "bell bottoms" became huge again, literally, they were massive. I had a pair of silver jeans that were probably 12 inches wide. Now that would actually be called a wide-legged pant. So a Flared jean is usually around 8 inches wide at the bottom. I think they have a nice relaxed feel to them but you can still dress them up a little. I especially love wearing mine with heels or wedges. It is important that flared jeans are hemmed properly because they are a wider leg, if they aren't hemmed for the right shoes they lay rather sloppy. I have warn these with flats and they just don't look as good. Also the in order for them to be flares and not wide-legged the flare should start just below the knee. If the flare starts before the knee it's really more of a wide-legged pant and if it starts mid calf you got yourself some true bell-bottoms!

I bought this scarf this weekend at Gap and I love it! For some reason I can't kick off my Christmas season without buying something knitted from Gap. Every year I have to get something and then it really feels like Christmas. It's a tradition I rather enjoy! You can find it here.

34. Diamond Studs

Scarf: Zara $35, Top: Old Navy $12, Skirt: Forever 21 $8
Shoes: Payless $8, Watch: Aldo $35, Bracelets: Forever 21, Earrings: Claires $1

For earrings it doesn't get much more classic than the diamond stud. Now don't worry I'm not going to go all Kim K on you and tell you these are real 2 carat diamonds. Mine are obviously fake and didn't cost much . Diamond studs (or a lookalike) come in all sorts of sizes, you can get them in a few different cuts and have them placed in gold or silver. I prefer mine to be big but a smaller, or even bigger size might suit you better. One day I hope to have some real rocks on those ears but until then I am fully satisfied with $1 Claires earrings. These are a great investment piece because they are simply timeless, a simple diamond stud is elegant and will never become dated. And the best part (for everyone else) is they can be passed down in the family! Hooray for future heirlooms.

29. Cotton Scarf

Cotton Scarfs are my favorite accessory for the Fall. I have quite a few from a past scarf phase but they have been sitting on the shelf for a year or so untouched. But this summer I bought these two scarves and I can't get enough of them! I love wearing them. They are a fun way to add a pop of color or pattern to an outfit. It is important to make sure when you buy a scarf that the color is good on you because it will be right on your skin. Accessories are a great way to play with colors that aren't necessarily in your color pallet but scarfs are the exception to that rule! Whats your latest fetish this Fall?

27. Colored Jacket

Jacket: Gap - gifted, Scarf: Aldo $8, Shirt: Gap $4
Pants: AEO $35, Shoes: Spring $12

Project 100

I love colored jackets... I have quite a few but I think that they are essential if you live somewhere where you are wearing jackets for half the year! Which I do. I love the color of this jacket, it's such a pop of color and a fun way to wear brights into the Fall. If you are worried about color dating a piece just go for a classic shape, the make of this coat is very classic and, honestly, there might be years that I do feel like wearing this pink but because the shape is so classic I know that it will continue to cycle in for a long time.

24. Cigarette Pants

Scarf: H&M $12.50, Sweater: Gap $8 + gf, Purse: Old Navy $5
Pants: Gap $30, Shoes: Spring $20, Earrings: Aldo $2

At first I wanted to channel my inner Audrey Hepburn and wear all black but it was not working on my silhouette so I went for pattern mixing instead with a pop of color. The tell-tale of the Cigarette Pants is it hits right above the ankle and is tapered at the bottom. So I don't know if you have noticed that polka-dots have literally exploded onto the fashion scene this Fall, they are everywhere! And.... I am loving it. I'm thinking about trying out polka dot pants... too much?

5. Ballet Flats

Scarf: Aldo $8.00, Shirt: Smart Set $12.00, Belt: H&M $5.00, Jeans: AEO $40, Shoes: Spring $12.00

Today's much needed item is the ballet flat. Every girl absolutely needs a few good pairs of flats. To cover your ground (no pun intended) make sure you, at the very least, have a nude/white, black, brown and a fun color. When I'm shopping for flats I like to find ones with little details on the toe; something that sets them apart from other shoes. But there is also something to be said about a simple flat with a little bow on the front, or nothing on the front. However you do it make sure you love it!
