70. Red

Scarf: Gap $21, Sweater: F21 $12, Pants: Gap $30, Boots: Payless - gifted

This has been my go-to outfit this Fall, I think my necklaces are starting to get jealous because they have been so neglected by my new found obsession with scarfs! Anyways, Red. Red is a power color and it definitely turns heads. A LBD is amazing but you swap that our for a Little Red Dress... watch out world. I think wearing Red gives you a little boost and it is especially fun this time of year because of the holidays. The best part is anyone can wear red, I promise! I look best in a bright red but you might find you look good in a deeper, cooler red. You have to experiment to figure out which shade looks best on you but I assure you that it is out there somewhere! Go and get red in wardrobe! It's a great time to shop for it, all the stores are carrying something red right now. Good luck!

43. Jeans

Sweater: Gap $8 + GC, Scarf: Gap $1 + GC, Bracelet: GroopDealz $4
Jeans: AEO $40, Boots: Payless - gifted. Watch: AEO $35

What 100 list would be complete without the basic Jeans. Everyone NEEDS a pair of jeans that fit them like a second skin, that sounds gross but it's true! Your perfect pair of jeans could be waiting for you anywhere! I have found mine continually at American Eagle for the last 7 years, they fit perfect, they are comfortable and I love them! Now, that doesn't mean AEO is going to fit all of you perfectly. You might find yours at Old Navy, Gap, heck you might find them at Macy's. Perfect Jeans can be found at any price point and if you find your perfect pair for $100 no judgement here. Just like the perfect man, it takes some searching so when you find that perfect pair of jeans don't let them go!

39. Gloves

Coat: Calvin Klein via Macys' $167, Purse: Aldo $13, Gloves: Aldo gifted
Necklace: Joe Fresh $7, Jeans: AEO $40, Boots: gifted

Gloves are a girls best friend in the winter if she lives in a cold place like Idaho! I would suggest having at least one pair of black gloves and another pair of brown. If I lived in a perfect world I would have a pair for every coat and they would just wait in my pockets for me so I didn't have to scavenge through all my coats to find my gloves every time I leave the house but alas the world is an imperfect place. You could also consider having some leather and suede but I would recommend treating them with a weatherproof spray you typically use on boots. If you have to clean off any cars you know why. Also I would suggest getting one pair of a fun color, I have some red gloves that just melt my heart. Gloves are certainly practical here in Idaho but that doesn't mean you can't have fun with them still!

18. Brown Boots

Sweater: Forever 21 $15.80, Necklace: eBay $8.00, Jeans: AEO $40
Purse: Aldo $25, Boots: Payless (gifted)

Whenever I break out my boots it feels like it is really Fall. I am completely enamoured with Fall this year for the first time, ever. Typically I am a summer girl but this year I was counting down the days until I could wear boots, sweater, jackets, scarves, etc. And there is something just lovely about Fall, there's something in the air that's almost magical. So girls time to officially break out the Fall wardrobe, if it still feels like summer where you live, I am terribly sorry.

P.S. confession time... I am pretty much done all my Christmas shopping!

16. Boyfriend Cardigan

Cardigan: Gap $25.99, Top: Joe Fresh $10, Necklace: Forever 21 $12.80
Jeans: AEO $40, Boots: Payless {gifted}

The boyfriend cardigan, for those of you that don't know, is signified by its deep v-neck and typically it will also have pockets on the front. This is my favorite cardigan ever. I waited and waited until Gap had a 40% off sale on it and snatched it up. It's so comfy and the color just oozes of Fall. Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving and although we are in America we had over some fellow Canadians and pigged out. Luckily for us... we have lots of leftovers and we will be pigging out again tonight on all the works. We went around the table and said what we were thankful for: indoor plumbing, washing machines, flat pillows underneath fluffy pillows {it creates the perfect balance} and deodorant. I think we can all agree those are pretty awesome.

Today I Adore Conquering Fears.

Today I attempted to conquer three fears:
1. Wear Red & Pink together, that fear comes mostly from color blocking but baby steps!
2. Take out my earrings and try new ones... that was a half success, literally. I got one earring out but I could NOT get my other one out. I was afraid I was going to rip my earring through my ear! That is not a fear I feel like conquering through experience.
3. Ponytails in pictures... I feel like I always look better in real life with a ponytail.

I think my experience was mostly a positive success... tomorrow I will hopefully get my other earring out of my ear and I will attempt the Pink & Red color scheme again another day.

Wearing:
Sweater: Old Navy - $10.00
Blouse: Joe Fresh - $10.00
Jeans: AEO - $29.90
Boots: Famous Footwear - $50.00
Necklace: Forever 21 - $7.50
Watch: Aldo - $35.00

I challenge all of you to conquer a fear today, big or small... even if it's a half attempt like some of mine :)

Today I Adore Grocery Shopping Adventures.

Yesterday was monday, that is grocery shopping day. Kennedy was taking a test so I went solo. I was going down the bread aisle and there was a little boy, probably around 3, and he had a cart that you carry but he had it on the ground and was pushing it around. Except when he pushed it he put his head down, I'm sure for better mileage, and pushed with all his might... Needless to say we collided. It was all fun and games and I screamed but then his Dad said, "You're not supposed to run into the cute ones!" Uh.... is it just me or was that a little strange? I guess I was flattered but I didn't know how to acknowledge  it because obviously he has a kid and we are in Rexburg so it's not like he was much older than me... so off I went. I'm quite sure it was just a Dad being a nerd but still! Has anything like that ever happened to you??

Well today I decided to go with all neutrals. I love a pop of color so dressing in all neutrals was challenging but I think it turned out alright. There is something classic about keeping it simple. Although I am sorry for the blurry pics {lame}. On a side note this is one of my favorite tops but it's never made it on my blog until now!

Wearing:
Blouse: Gap - $15.00
Pants: Gap - $30.00 + gift certificates
Boots: Payless - gifted
Necklace: Jc Penneys - gifted
Belt: Garage - $5.00
Purse: Maurices - $10.00
Watch: Aldo - $35.00

Well I hope you all get a nice compliment in a weird way today :) Just kidding, but seriously.

P.S. I'm dying to know, what did you adore today?

Today I Adore {some} Advertisements

Who would've ever thought a blue purse could be so versatile! I use this purse any chance I get! I am basically obsessed with it and I hope it never becomes passé! Anyways, did any of you check out the Superbowl yesterday? I think it was the first game I actually sat down and watched the whole thing {while hand sewing cuffs on a shirt but oh well it counts}, it was a pretty good game. BUT there were a few advertisements that I really loved... the M&M one? PLEASE tell me someone else died laughing at that little M&M shaking his stuff :) Loved it.

Well my outfit today was actually inspired by an outfit Kyra Sedgwick wore to one of the award shows last year {I'm sorry I couldn't find a pic!} but she wore this gorgeous coral/orange gown with blue accessories and it was love at first sight! I wish I could dress in this color combo everyday but that would probably get a little redundant.

Wearing:
Blazer: Forever 21 - $25.80
Shirt: Old Navy - $4.70
Jeans: AEO - $35.00
Boots: Famous Footwear - $50.00
Necklace: JC Penneys - gifted
Purse: Aldo - $25.00

Well it's the beginning of a new week and you guys, I have a good feeling about it. I hope you have a great monday!

P.S. Tell me, what did you adore today?

For your enjoyment :)

Today I Adore Gingham

I don't know why but gingham has always made me a little weak in my knees. When I enter a store if there is gingham it will find me because it knows I love it, I just can't get enough.

I also realized that this two posts in a row with my red cardigan which is funny because I don't wear it that often and the pictures were actually taken months apart. I guess thats what happens on Friday the 13th!

Top: Joe Fresh - $10.00
Jeans: AEO - $29.99

Today I Adore Talents.

I feel like I often start my posts out with an apology which must mean I am consistently inconsistent with my posting.. perhaps that will be a new years resolution? Well today I adore talents. I have been alive for about 22 1/2 years now and I hadn't really given knitting much thought but then about a month ago I learned how and I love it! See this scarf I'm wearing? Yah, I made that! It just reminded me that you are never to old to learn a new trick :)

Wearing:
Cardigan: GAP - $25.99
Top: Gap - $12.99
Jeans: AEO - $29.99
Boots: ALDO - $49.99
Scarf: Handmade by Me! - undisclosed :)

So I'm thinking of selling these scarves online, I did some searching around Etsy to see what people charged for them and it was WAY more than I had anticipated but then I remembered that a scarf like this takes like ten hours to knit... I don't know why it takes so long and maybe I am just exceptionally slow but now that I have learned how to knit I understand why knitted accessories cost so much! Especially hand made. Anyways, everyone... have a wonderful day and I will try not to be scarce :) But we are in the midst of finals and I am a little overwhelmed!

Today I Adore Venting.

Have you ever had one of those days where everything bottles up inside of you and you are going to explode? Well, I experienced one of those days and Kennedy was so wonderful today. This month we are sticking to a tight budget to prepare for the holiday season and school has been crazy so we haven't spent much quality time together SO tonight we went on a date. It was so great to just sit down to dinner with him and talk and vent; he's the best. Anyways, I hope you guys have someone to vent to because it is extremely therapeutic. But I love talking so... maybe that's just me :)

Wearing:
Sweater: GAP - $35.00 {as a side note this sweater was hand knitted... now that I know how to sew I understand why it was originally $100.00+, it would take forever!}
V-Neck: GAP - $15.00
Jeans: AEO - $39.99
Necklace: Target - $7.99
Belt: Garage - $4.99
Purse: Maurices - $9.99 {this is my only purse not from ALDO but I loved the print and it was a good price and I struggled with my purchase at first but it's growing on me... do you guys have any 'storist' tendencies like me? [as in prejudices]}
Boots: ALDO - $49.99

Well sorry for all the parenthesis, guess I had a lot to say :) Anyways, have a great day!

B.S.C.

Does anyone remember The Baby Sitters Club? I realized this outfit could be on one of their book covers! I was in love with BSC as a kid, I even made up my own club called Groovy Girls. I was the president and we had a vice pres and secretary. Each week after Achievement Days (my churches girls club) which is now a different name (that makes me feel old)... I think Activity Days? Anyways every week after Achievement Days me and all my friends would go into the Mothers Lounge in the bathroom and hold a meeting... we were so cool. Eventually it dissolved but I had big dreams as a ten year old. Did anyone else make "cool" clubs too?

Wearing:
Sweater: Old Navy - $5.00
T-Shirt: Old Navy - free
Jeans: AEO - $39.95
Boots: ALDO - $40.00
Necklace: Wetseal - $7.50

I was a little sad to pull out my boots for the first time this year but it was a nice change to have warm toes :) Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
