16. Boyfriend Cardigan

Cardigan: Gap $25.99, Top: Joe Fresh $10, Necklace: Forever 21 $12.80
Jeans: AEO $40, Boots: Payless {gifted}

The boyfriend cardigan, for those of you that don't know, is signified by its deep v-neck and typically it will also have pockets on the front. This is my favorite cardigan ever. I waited and waited until Gap had a 40% off sale on it and snatched it up. It's so comfy and the color just oozes of Fall. Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving and although we are in America we had over some fellow Canadians and pigged out. Luckily for us... we have lots of leftovers and we will be pigging out again tonight on all the works. We went around the table and said what we were thankful for: indoor plumbing, washing machines, flat pillows underneath fluffy pillows {it creates the perfect balance} and deodorant. I think we can all agree those are pretty awesome.

Today I Adore Gingham

I don't know why but gingham has always made me a little weak in my knees. When I enter a store if there is gingham it will find me because it knows I love it, I just can't get enough.

I also realized that this two posts in a row with my red cardigan which is funny because I don't wear it that often and the pictures were actually taken months apart. I guess thats what happens on Friday the 13th!

Today I Adore Rockin Out.

So for Mr. Berezay's birthday he got Guitar Hero so our house has been filled with some serious classic rock tunes and sore wrists! My Freshman year my roommates and I played Guitar Hero ALL the time... I forgot about sore wrists or my wrists have seriously weakened up.. I guess it's time to strengthen them by playing more Guitar Hero!

Shirt: GAP - $14.99
Pants: AEO - $39.95
Necklace:  Wetseal - $7.50

Today I Adore Talents.

I feel like I often start my posts out with an apology which must mean I am consistently inconsistent with my posting.. perhaps that will be a new years resolution? Well today I adore talents. I have been alive for about 22 1/2 years now and I hadn't really given knitting much thought but then about a month ago I learned how and I love it! See this scarf I'm wearing? Yah, I made that! It just reminded me that you are never to old to learn a new trick :)

Wearing:
Cardigan: GAP - $25.99
Top: Gap - $12.99
Jeans: AEO - $29.99
Boots: ALDO - $49.99
Scarf: Handmade by Me! - undisclosed :)

So I'm thinking of selling these scarves online, I did some searching around Etsy to see what people charged for them and it was WAY more than I had anticipated but then I remembered that a scarf like this takes like ten hours to knit... I don't know why it takes so long and maybe I am just exceptionally slow but now that I have learned how to knit I understand why knitted accessories cost so much! Especially hand made. Anyways, everyone... have a wonderful day and I will try not to be scarce :) But we are in the midst of finals and I am a little overwhelmed!

Today I Adore Accomplishing Goals

Guys, I graduate in April! I registered for my very last semester of University this week and it felt really good! I haven't gotten the senioritis bug yet but the idea of graduating is becoming more and more appealing, especially as finals are nearing and papers are piling up {no thanks}. Also I was having lunch today with some of my very favorite friends and we were talking about how good you feel when you eat healthy and are working out regularly, it's so amazing how awesome you feel... too bad it takes a lot of discipline haha. But the point is it feels really great when you accomplish something and see the fruit of your labors, it certainly feels better than giving up and quitting even though those options sometimes seem a lot easier.

Wearing:
Coat: Zara - $100.00
Sweater: GAP - $19.99
Top: GAP - $12.99
Tank: Down East - $7.99
Jeans: AEO - $39.99
Headband: Ardenes - $1.99
Necklace: Ardenes - gifted {from my husband in high school! Crazy.}
Shoes: Payless - $7.99

So if you guys are trying to do something and it seems really hard picture your end product... I will too!

Patience is a Virtue.

Hello my lovely friends! Well last week was my first week of work {7-3:30} which was a huge adjustment from my three weeks of vaca. So I did not post because I was a tired face after each day. BUT I have devised a system of posting so here is the plan:

I will post outfits MWF and then on TTH I am going to some fun little posts. I feel good about it so I hope you're down! Also when I took these pictures I was in one of my weird moods and I feel like my pictures suffered but I really liked my outfit so just go with it :)

Meet My New Purse.

Hello my wonderful friends! I bought a new purse this past week. We went to the mall last Saturday and I saw it; it was instant love. We are trying to save most of our money this summer and be "super savers" so I didn't get it. Well... we were at the mall a few days later and I was basically drooling over this purse so Kennedy said I should just buy it. So I told the sales associate that I was going to buy it and she went to the back to get one for me... she came back without one because I had the last one in my hand! What a relief that I came when I did!

So my nails are red so I have been having fun adding touches of red into my outfits. My next nail project is Ombre nails... check it out here. If you are on pintrest I pinned it too. If you are not on pintrest you should be because it's amazing.

Okay so if you checked out my link for the nails you came to this wonderful {brand new this week} site TheBeautyDepartment. I have been going there everyday for new ideas, and I love it, today they had this hairstyle so I gave it a try. It looks better with blonde hair because you can see it better but I was still happy with it... you will be seeing it more often!

Wearing: Cardigan: Forever 21, Top: Gap Outlet, Necklace: WetSeal, Shoes: Payless, Purse: ALDO

Well everyone today was great and tomorrow is my lil sisters 13th Birthday, she will be a legit teenager so watch out world. Ready Or Not, Here Comes Becca! Also I love her and she is my fav little sister!

Dreaming of Belts.

It's Monday! And you know I had a wonderful day, except that I have a minor toothache that I am afraid is going to turn into a major toothache before I get back to AB for the summer where I have a dentist... Wish me luck! But a wonderful thing is it's MY BIRTHDAY WEEK! So here is the countdown...

Four Days until my Birthday
Eleven Days until Conference Weekend (when I go to Utah and go shopping!)
Eighteen Days until the end of the semester

So this morning I didn't feel very good and my tummy didn't really want to go up on campus but I rallied and made it to my classes. BUT I did not feel like being extra special looking today so I stuck my lazy T-shirt and threw on a Cardigan. Then I remembered that last night I had a dream and this belt was in my dream so I wore it  :) I think my belt felt neglected and so it slipped into my subconscious to get my attention... what can I say? It worked.

Wearing: Shoes: Walmart (Awesome find), Jeans: AEO, Belt; Garage Co., Cardigan: Target, Tee: Old Navy, Necklace & Bangles: Forever 21

Also be prepared... for the next Tues - Tues I am required to dress up for my Fashion Design class because we are having our own "Fashion Week" in honor of NYC Fashion Week. SO I will be in skirts/dresses for the next seven days and it's going to be awesome! I hope you're ready for it... mainly I hope I'm ready for it and that Rexburg's weather is ready for it too!

Blustery Thursday!

So this might be an awkward face and pose but it drew me in and convinced me that it needed to be on my blog today. What could I do? I gave in. Today I was thinking about my outfit while I was walking to a meeting and I thought about my Grade 9 basketball coach Mr. B. There is a special place in my heart for him but anyways I remember he would frequently wear denim on denim and I HATED it, I thought it was the most unfashionable, ugliest pairing in the history of the entire world! Then today I was wearing denim on denim! I thought it was very ironic... anyone who knows Mr. B might appreciate that little story.

Also as you can see Grant made another appearance in my pictures today... It was VERY windy again so we took shelter in our doorway/staircase. But exciting news... My parents are coming down from Canada and we are meeting up in Provo to visit my brother. Which means... BEAUTIFUL weather. It just has to be or I will be so upset! But don't worry I will still be posting pictures throughout the weekend.

Also a close up of my necklace but mostly check out those Yellow Nails :) Valentines Day Present... the color not the nails! Anyways hope everyone found a way to escape the wind today!

Memory of an Elephant

So initially I was going to wear my cream shirt with this outfit and there was my green shirt hanging in the closet and it dawned on me that Green and Red are complimentary colors! I love when people wear Green & Red well... but you never want it to look like Christmas! I feel like this did not look like Christmas though.

As you can see behind me is our wonderful little gnome Grant. When Kennedy came home from his mission the first house he lived in had this gnome and we thought it was so funny! So when he moved in with his Sister we snatched it up! I know, we are so bad. So once we got married naturally Grant came with us. Sometimes we toy with the idea of getting him a GF but we feel like he enjoys his Independence, we would hate for Grant to feel smothered.

And this is a close up of my elephant charm. I love it. I bought it because I have a memory like an elephant and elephants are cute. I worked at a jewelry store a few summers ago so I had an AMAZING discount but since I was saving for school I couldn't take complete advantage of it but I did purchase this cute little charm!

Wearing: Cardigan: JOE Fresh, Top: GAP, Belt: Betsey Johnson, Tank: Down East, Jeans: American Eagle, Flats: ALDO, Charm: Wrights Jewelry and Chain: gifted

Also I hope you noticed the beautiful wreath hanging on our door. I have wanted a Cranberry wreath FOREVER but I hadn't found one that I liked the look AND the price. This Christmas my mother-in-law gave it to me and it's totally perfect. I love it! Hope your day was amazing!

Today I Met Someone Named September

SATURDAY! Today started wonderful with my bowl of banana oatmeal. Whats your favorite breakfast? I think that breakfast is my favorite meal ever. French Toast, Waffles, Cereal, Oatmeal (my fav.), Orange Juice, Eggs... I mean the list goes on and on! When I got married I really wanted breakfast for our family dinner but I wasn't allowed... but it was the only disappointment during the planning so I guess you win some and you lose some!

So I'm not sure how I felt about this outfit... this isn't my favorite cardigan and when I bought this tank top I thought it was adorable but it's hard to wear with things! Also, this morning while I was straightening my hair I kinked my bangs and they were unfixable so I was left with no choice but to braid it! Anyways, this is what I came up with this morning.

Wearing: Cardigan: GAP, Tank: Old Navy, Pants: American Eagle Outfitters, Belt: Thrifted, Shoes: Payless, Necklace: Swarovski Jewelers.

P.S. I really did meet someone named September today while I was at work and I thought it was cool.
