36. Flared Jeans

Jacket: Mine via TJ Maxx $30, Top: Gap $8, Jeans: AEO $40
Scarf: Gap $1 + gift card, Clutch: H&M $12, Shoes: Aldo $18

I remember in middle school when "bell bottoms" became huge again, literally, they were massive. I had a pair of silver jeans that were probably 12 inches wide. Now that would actually be called a wide-legged pant. So a Flared jean is usually around 8 inches wide at the bottom. I think they have a nice relaxed feel to them but you can still dress them up a little. I especially love wearing mine with heels or wedges. It is important that flared jeans are hemmed properly because they are a wider leg, if they aren't hemmed for the right shoes they lay rather sloppy. I have warn these with flats and they just don't look as good. Also the in order for them to be flares and not wide-legged the flare should start just below the knee. If the flare starts before the knee it's really more of a wide-legged pant and if it starts mid calf you got yourself some true bell-bottoms!

I bought this scarf this weekend at Gap and I love it! For some reason I can't kick off my Christmas season without buying something knitted from Gap. Every year I have to get something and then it really feels like Christmas. It's a tradition I rather enjoy! You can find it here.

31. Cuff

Blouse: Old Navy $12, Belt: thrifted $2, Capris: AEO - old, Shoes: Payless $7
Clutch: H&M $12, Cuff: InPink c/o The Daybook giveaway, Necklace: Joe Fresh $7

To be honest I don't think this outfit photographed very well which is not helping me with my fear of Cuffs... yes you read that right I have a fear of Cuffs. I remember in high school I read a "what to wear" type of book with a friend and it said to absolutely never wear anything thick on your wrist because it is the smallest part of the body.

I do think that they are a great accessory to have and I have seen them styled beautifully on others. They are a statement piece that I think works well with mostly bare arms and a simple outfit. I've this Cuff for just about 6 months but I haven't been able to figure out how to style it. Now I really loved this outfit in real life but I don't think it translated well into photo. I suppose I just have to attempt to style it again. Any advice from you Cuff wearers would be much appreciated!

25. Clutch

Undershirt: Down East $10, Tank: Gap $35, Skirt: Target $25
Shoes: Aldo - gifted, Watch: Aldo $35, Clutch: Spring $20

I have to admit it took my a long time to come to an appreciation for the Clutch. This clutch is actually from my High School graduation and it had been sitting in storage until just recently, isn't that awful? I used to think they were ridiculous because you can hardly hold anything! Now truth be told most of the time I do want a bigger purse but clutch's are perfect for a date night or a night on the town with the girls. They are big enough to hold all the necessities and a simple black one like this isn't going out of date any time soon. You can't even tell it's five years old! Yikes... that makes me feel old!

19. Brown Tights

Top: Loft $14, Necklace: eBay $8, Belt: Garage $2.50, Clutch: H&M $12
Skirt: Forever 21 $18, Tights: Old Navy $3, Shoes: Aldo $25

I have to confess brown tights might not be a staple for everyone  BUT if you find that your go-to neutral is brown rather than black or cream rather than stark white then it is definitely a staple you need. I tend to look better in browns and creams so it is necessary for me to have matching hosiery. These are my favorite tights and I can't believe this is their debut on the blog because I wear them the most out of all my tights.

Well it's Friday which means the weekend has started and the hubs has promised me he's all mine today {because tomorrow he belongs to homework} so I am off the enjoy my day. Hope you all have a great weekend!
